    25 Points (Formative Category)
    Write a message for each student. You must create a message that uses each of the following
    literary devices. First, define each of the terms and write your messages on this document
    first. Submit this work to the Dropbox. Then, you can make the cards. The cards you create
    do not have to be elaborate. You can make several on a sheet of paper (on MS Word), cut, and
    distribute.
    Use each device at least once. Once you use each device, you can repeat the message for
    another student.

    Personification giving an object a humanlike quality


    My oceans are depressed when you are gone.
    Simile - a comparison using like or as
    We go inevitable like a peanut butter and jelly.
    Metaphor a comparison not using like or as
    You are the candy in my tummy, so sweet
    Hyperbole an exaggeration
    My heart stops beating when you are around.
    Iambic Pentameter 10 syllables per line and 5 iambs
    Your smile so bright lightens up my whole day.
    Iambic Tetrameter 8 syllables per line and 4 iambs

    You are like a puppy dancing


    Couplet two lines that rhyme
    I hope you will see,
    How much you mean to me!
    Alliteration same letter or sound in a group of words

    Picky platypuses pick you to eat purple and pink potato pies.
    Assonance repletion of vowels

    An alpaca aint ever able to express any love.


    Consonance repletion of the constants
