Write down this definition:
DEFINITION
The word "quack" is an abbreviation of
"quacksalver" a 16th-century word
meaning a peddler who sold fake
medicines in the street. A quack is
someone who practises medicine without
any training, knowledge or skill. In the
Renaissance period, many quacks were
out to make as much money as possible by
selling their charms, potions or bottles
of medicine.
