4.1 Installing Active Directory

First Start, Administrative tools,

Server Manager

Next go to o Role Summary and

Add rolles

Next Select Active Directory Domain

services, and click next

Then hit next, install and your done.

Next go to start run, then type

dcpromo

Next select Create a new domain in

a new forest

you want being 2003/2008 then

make the domain name and
password you would see this in slide
form but I didn't save the snips.

4.2 Managing Domains

Right click your new domain and hit

properties

Look at the things

Next leave that and right click on the

domain and Raise Domain
functional level

And done

4.4 Creating User Accounts in Active

Direcotry

Start Run mmc

Then go to add/remove snap-in

Click on Active Directory users....

and hit add and okay

Next get to the users folder

These are your users

Go to action new user

Next put in the users information

And then the temp password

4.7 Changing password

First right click on the user account
and hit reset password

Now reset password
