Time for the Thunder

Columbus, Ga., March 10, 2014 It is time for jaw-dropping aerial performances in the
Chattahoochee Valley. The Thunder in the Valley Air show is one of the largest events in the
Chattahoochee Valley with performances, airplane and helicopter rides, a carnival, and great food
Dating back to its start in 1997, the Air Show has become a tradition to residents. I go to the air
show every year with my family. We always have a great time, said Mia King, a Columbus
State University Student. While providing entertainment, the air show also focuses on giving
back to the community. All proceeds will be donated to local youth organizations and charities.
This year the Thunder in the Valley Air Show will award a $2,000 flight training scholarship to a
student who is currently enrolled in a high school in the Chattahoochee Valley area.
The Thunder in the Valley Air Show is March 15 -16, located at the Columbus Airport: 3250 W
Britt David Rd Columbus, GA 31909. Gates will open at 10a.m., with the last show ending at
