Magnum Broadcasting proudly announce the creation of The First Annual
BLUE & WHITE EXCELLENCE AWARD and Kick Off Concert/Block
Party.
Founded in 1855, Penn State University has a 160-year history of serving
the local community, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and our country.
Each year students, faculty and staff achieve excellence in both academics
and athletics. With determination, resolve and a commitment to excellence
unparalleled success is achieved each year.
According to Magnum Broadcasting General Manager, Diana Stapleford, the
BLUE & WHITE EXCELLENCE AWARD is long overdue and an example
of the close relationship between the community and Penn State University:

Magnum Broadcasting is a locally owned media company with a 46

year tradition of working with Penn State students and faculty. We are
constantly amazed by the achievements in both academics and
athletics. The community has long wanted to recognize these
contributions and we are proud to create this annual award to honor
the tradition of excellence at Penn State University.
Ms. Stapleford adds that the BLUE & WHITE EXCELLENCE AWARD
will be a huge celebration for the entire Penn State Community. The award
will be presented at the inaugural Kick Off Concert/ Block Party on
September 3, 2015:
This will serve to Kick Off both the Labor Day Weekend and the start
of the 2015-16 academic year. The business community is rallying to
support the event and we will be announcing many co-sponsors in the
coming weeks.
When the winner of the 2015 BLUE &WHITE EXCELLENCE
AWARD is officially announced there will be huge support locally
and from Penn State Alumni across the country. There was unanimous
agreement on the 2015 winner and I cant think of a better selection to
celebrate the start of this annual tradition.
The winner of the BLUE &WHITE EXCELLENCE AWARD shall be
announced to the public and media on Monday, July 20, 2015 on QWIK
Rock 105.9FM and WBLF 970AM.
