Meet Sannam S4 at Harvard and Wharton


Annual Events Feature Prominent Business and Civic Leaders from India and the US
Its now become an annual tradition. Each new year, for more than a decade, as companies in the US open their
books on a new business year, and companies in India prepare to close their books on the fiscal year about to end,
the two top American Business Schools*, Harvard and the University of Pennsylvanias Wharton School mount annual conferences which delve deeply into Indias complex economy.
With the new pro-business Narendra Modi government now in place in India, the 2015 conferences at both universities promise to be among the most positive, most forward-looking, and best attended in many years.
First up, on February 20 / 21st, is the 19th annual Wharton India Economic Forum (WIEF), the preeminent India business conference in the US.
The theme of WIEF 2015 is, INDIA: Delivering the Dream. According to organizers, This years conference aims to
evaluate the opportunities for success and the key factors that will be critical for India moving forward. The WIFE
strives to be a forum for delegates to reassess Indias economic growth trajectory, re-evaluate its regulatory landscape, and draw up an action plan to ensure the country meets its full potential over the coming years.
Speakers include Vijayalakshmi Iyer, Chairperson & Managing Director of the Bank of India; Punit Goenka, CEO of
Zee Entertainment, Indias largest media conglomerate; Hital Meswani, Executive Director of Reliance Industries;
Rehan Khan Managing Director of Abbott India Ltd., Charulata Ravi Kumar, CEO of Razorfish India, the interactive
arm of the global advertising giant, Publicis Groupe, and others. Also speaking at WIEF 2015 will be Ken Silverman,
Sannam S4 Consultings Head of North America.

On March 7/8th & 12th annual India Conference at Harvard (ICH) will be held in Boston.
Speakers at the Harvard Business School will include famed US-based serial entrepreneur, Gururav Desh Deshpande, Chairman of the Sparta Group, and a founder of Cascade Communications and Sycamore Networks; Sajjan
Jindal, Chairman & MD of JSW Steel; Lalit Gupta, CEO & MD of Essar Oil; Pawan Geonka, Executive Director of
Indian conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra, Ltd.; Rishi Jaitly, MD of India & Southeast Asia for Twitter, and others.

Unique to the ICH, Day 2 of the event will be presented by the Harvard Kennedy School, turning the focus from business towards the broader issue of governing. Speakers at the Harvard Kennedy School will include Adil Zainulbhai,
Chairman of the Quality Council of India; Kiran Bedi, famed social activist and formerly the highest ranking woman
ever in the Indian Police Service; Neeraj Krishnan Kaul, Additional Solicitor General of India; Shivshankar Menon,
former National Security Advisor to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, and former Foreign Secretary, and others.
