GLOBAL WARMING
by: Jose Noel A. Asuncion

WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING?

It is the increase in the average

temperature of the Earths Atmosphere.

It happens when the amount of gases

such
as
Methane[CH4]
and
Carbon
Dioxide[CO2] rises in the atmosphere.

This phenomenon makes the Earths

Atmosphere act like the glass in a
greenhouse.

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING?

Melting

of ice sheets in Antarctica

and the glacier retreat in the
Arctic that can cause rising of sea
level.

Increases
Changes

in the range of diseases.

in the frequency
intensity of extreme weather.

and

Changes

in agricultural yields.

Addition

of new trade routes.

Reduced

summer stream flows.

Species

extinction.

Changes

in the amount and pattern

precipitation.

ARE PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE FOR IT?

Yes, people are accountable for

it because
of our irresponsible
acts that harms Mother Nature.
And, unless we do something (no
matter how small/simple it is) to
save earth, it will continue to
deteriorate which will eventually
lead to destruction.

WHAT ARE THE WAYS TO LESSEN THE FACTORS

THAT CONTRIBUTE TO GLOBAL WARMING?
Try

and teach
environmentally
energy efficient.

Avoid

polluting.

Plant

trees

others to be
friendly
and

Reduce,

Biking

Reuse, Recycle.

& walking.

HOW CAN I ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO DO THE

SAME?
To

be a good example in taking

good care of the environment .
And to help educate the
community/people about global
warming through:

Using the internet.

Brochures.

WHAT IS THE LESSON OF HAVING THE

KNOWLEDGE OF THIS?

The important lesson of acquiring this

knowledge is that each & everyone, young or
old, should
show concern to Nature.
Environmental problems are enormous, so all
these knowledge should be shared to others.
We all should do our part, however simple
it is, and work hand-in-hand to help
revive/rehabilitate environment in order to
lessen the effects of global warning thus
making earth a better place to live in
specially for the future generations.
