Jovovich. Based on the Capcom video game of 1996, the film is a British,
American, French and German co-production.
Is the first in the series of films with the same name brought to the big
screen. He practically rolled in Germany. The film is starring actress Milla Jovovich
( Alice, although the name is not known until the sequel , Apocalypse ) by Eric
Mabius ( Matt Addison ) , Michelle Rodriguez (Rain Ocampo ) and James Purefoy
(Spencer Parks) mainly .
It was directed by Paul W. S. Anderson , released in 2002 with a worldwide
success , leading to its hitherto five sequels , Resident Evil: Apocalypse
(Revelation , in Spanish ) , premiered on September 10, 2004 , Resident Evil:
Extinction ( Extinction, in Spanish ) released on 21 September 2007 , Resident
Evil: Afterlife ( Afterlife , in Spanish ) , premiered on September 16, 2010 , and
Resident Evil: Retribution ( Revenge, in Spanish ) , premiered on September 14,
2012 . Sony Pictures has officially announced the release date of the sixth and
perhaps final film in the Resident Evil franchise in theaters : September 12, 2014 .
