Lit –A-Thon

Rules & Regulations

Each team will consist of two members.


Following are the rounds that will be held

ROUND 1: ELIMINATIONS
Participants will be given 50 objective questions to be attempted in 5 minutes. The
questions will be based on Basic English grammar applications, idioms and phrases,
synonyms and antonyms.
Top 15 teams to solve the maximum questions in the stipulated time will be
selected.

ROUND 2: RANDOM WEAVE


1 .A member from each team will be taken to a room where 50 random objects will be
displayed. He will be allowed to view the objects for 45 seconds and will be given a
minute thereafter to recollect any 10 objects of his choice and write it on a paper
provided.
2. The paper will then be passed to the other team member who will then have to weave a
story with the list of the objects noted by his team mate. All the 10 objects must be
mentioned in the story. The team member will be given 15 minutes for story writing.
Top 8 teams will be selected for the semis depending upon the creativity and
originality of the story developed.

ROUND 3: AUDIO VISUAL


1. This is an audiovisual round.
2. Each member from the team will be sent to a different room.
3. In the first room an audio will be played.
4. In the other room, a visual clip will be shown to the other member.
5. Both the partners then have to write a story (or a jingle or an essay) using the audio and
visual clips. Teams will be given 20 minutes to complete their story.
Top 5 teams will be selected for the finals on the basis of creativity and originality
of content.

ROUND 4: TREASURE HUNT


1. The final round is a treasure hunt consisting of 3 stages.
2. The participants will be given literary clues which will lead them to the next stage.
3. The top 2 teams will make it to the final stage of the treasure hunt among which the
winner will be decided.
