Areas of learning

Thomas

As scientists we will be looking at electricity in order


to discover which materials are the best conductors of
electricity, how to put together simple circuits and
when use this knowledge to construct a model burglar
alarm system.

Wright

As historians we will be looking into the life stories of


the top inventors of all time such as Thomas Edison,
the wright Brothers and scientists such as Marie
Curie.
As design technologists we will be researching,
designing and making model bridges made only from
art straws and card that will be able to span 40cm and
carry over 500g in weight. The challenge will be to
construct the bridge that carries most weight without
buckling.
As artists we will be studying the work of the famous
French artist Matisse and producing work based on
his ideas.
