Literacy
We will be able to describe main
story settings, events and
principal characters. We will
show an understanding of the

We will use our phonic knowledge
to write short sentences in
meaningful contexts. We will use
finger spaces, capital letters & full
stops.
We will have a go at descriptive
writing when we explore the
characteristics of a troll.

Expressive Arts and Design


Mathematics
We will count and order numbers to 20 and
consolidate calculation skills. (Adding &
subtracting) We will count on & back using a
number line.
We will participate in doubling, halving &
problem sharing activities.
We will explore shape, space & measure
activities. This will include investigating 3D
shape, patterns, length and capacity.

We will design & make a bridge.


We will combine media &
explore texture.
We will introduce storylines into
play using puppets & props.
We will design a scary troll. We
will explore sound & rhythm
using instruments, movement &
dance.
We will explore songs, poems &
rhymes.
