Scholarship valued at $1,000. This scholarship recognizes and rewards the hemendous time and
effort you have given to your studies. It acknowledges your outstanding accomplishments and

You may be interested to know that this scholarship was named in memory of Jason [-ang, a 17year-old high school student who was killed in a tragic school shooting in April 1999. The
scholarship was established in 2000 by the Alberta government as part of Alberta Advanced
Education and Technology's Achievement Scholarship Program. The Government of Alberta
also encourages and rewards student excellence through the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund.
This year, over $69 million in Alberta scholarships will be awarded to students like you.
