Lipids

All of the questions will come from the lecture slides. Make sure to know the functions
and properties of each of the lipid classes. There are two clarifications I would like to
make:
Acylglycerols:
Naming of acylglycerols: These would be multiple choice questions. I would give
you the names of the fatty acids so that you do not need to memorize them. You would
only need to be able to recognize which is the correct name for the acylglycerol.
Phospholipids:
I expect you to know the five X groups and the five classes of PLs. On slide #19
of the lipid lecture, I show the 4 major PL classes. I do not expect you to remember what
is located on sn1 and sn 2, however, I do expect you to know their names and functions.
