John 9:1-3
As he walked along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned,
this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither this man nor his
parents sinned; he was born blind so that God's works might be revealed in him.

Sometimes I wonder why God made me the way that I am. The inner critic that tells me Im bad and Im less than,
and that I am damaged comes against the teaching that I am perfect in Gods sight, and Im wondering why God
would make such a damaged being. I think thats why the idea that someone would have had to sin in order to be so
broken disabled, etc. developed.
But I love this word of hope, this good news. My badness is there so that Gods works might be revealed within
them. Whats more, is that what we see as distasteful or wrong in other people are there so that we might see
Gods works there too.
I challenge you to think of a person you find challenging, and think of how God might be revealing their works
through them.
