To whom it may concern:

I am writing to you in recommendation for Sarah Thomas as a Nurse Practitioner. I
currently work for Capital Care Medical Group in Rotterdam, NY. I am a Registered Nurse and
a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Since September 2014, Sarah has been working
alongside me as an NP student in a Family Practice setting.
I have observed her review patient histories, perform physical examinations and
determine the appropriate diagnosis and course of treatments/plans. She is very competent as a
Nurse Practitioner Student, exhibits confidence, and demonstrates the skills required of a Nurse
Practitioner. She has outstanding critical thinking skills and has fantastic inter-personal
relationships with patients and staff.
I feel she is competent to perform the requested duties as a Nurse Practitioner and she
is ready to practice on her own. She has the diagnostic skills and the knowledge to have a
successful career.
