Absolutely top drawer team picking from Jonny this week. Doubt that will ever be topped.
Interesting original team picks with many doubting the balance and fairness. Were they fair? Who knows. These days there is little between the
teams regardless of who plays. Stub was the biggest critic and was offered a last minute player swap. Graham went fishing by suggesting he didn't
have the balls for the fights and that he was jumping ship. Blackie was even quoted as saying Gary has made a last minute signing but its like
putting lipstick on a pig, its still a pig". Time will tell if Spell has just boarded the Titanic.
Before moving on to the stats there are a few things that need clearing up. Firstly, did Jonny correctly spell G's name during the team
announcements? Suzie Dent from Dictionary corner confirmed earlier that he did indeed get it correct. Second, what is F*ck is going on with
Luke's work? Don't they know Tuesday is football day? A strong worded letter has been sent from the S.F.A (Seedhill Football Association) to
Mantra to ask for clarification why one of its Key players was sent 400 miles on game day. Mantra refused to comment.
Last week saw an enthralling encounter (all be it a bruising one) which was won with a last minute wonder strike. The stats that week predicted a
good game and this week looks like it could be closer, could this be the first draw of 2015? The average team wins for both teams is exactly 4.17
wins each but its Blackie's men who have the edge on both appearances (8.50 vs 8.0) and win % (53.10% v 45.81%). On paper Stub doubted the
quality of his team. Could he be regretting his decision now?
Tonight's match looks like it could be a case of out with the old and in with the new. The new Connor MacLeod that is. Jonny, the once proud
king of the win, squares up against the new kid on the block, tonight's only unbeaten player, Milky. Jonny still holds his head held high with a
very impressive 70% win rate (appendix 2) which is the fourth best % of the current squad (appendix 3). The two have very differing appearance
stats though. Milky, who was seen as a Leper at the start of the season didn't make his debut until the 17th of Feb (appendix 6) and like his hair,
has refused to move since. In contrast, Jonny has only missed one match all season. Rumour has it that he was in L.A for overpriced acting
lesson.
The team mate analysis (appendix 1) for both these two Lanky Legged mutants looks like it might give us some insight into how this match
might turn out. Milky, obviously is undefeated with any of his team mates but does make his first appearance with Captain Blackie. Likewise
Jonny has a very impressive win rate with his team mates but is making a debut appearance alongside Gary C and Chris. Jonny was definitely one
person who had raised eyebrows when Stub and Spell announced the deadline day swap. Jonnys record with Stub is simply appalling four defeats
from six. This team is lacking from minutes on the park together and for those that are familiar with each other, they wont be pleased to be
seeing each other in the same strip.
So what will tonight have in store? Jonny returning to old habits or Milky continuing his impressive run of wins? Surely Milky's run needs to
come to an end given his 0% shooting accuracy? What will happen when last weeks bash brothers square off against each other, fireworks?
