fraction problem with like denominators. The teacher will

then walk the students through the steps for each problem.
The teacher will pass out informational sheets that we can
work on together and that the students can put into their
notebooks. The teacher will then write 2-4 problems on the
board for the students to work individually. After
approximately 5 minutes, the teacher will go over the
problems with the students. After the teacher is confident
that the students understand the concept she will have the
students pair up into groups of 2. The teacher will enlist a
helper to pass out game sheets and game pieces. The
teacher will go over the directions of the game and allow the
students to play for approximately 10-15 minutes.

The teacher will call all students back to their desks. The
teacher will then pass out a worksheet for the students to
show their knowledge. When the students have completed
the worksheet, the teacher will go over the answers and ask
the students if they have any questions. The teacher will
wrap up by reviewing what we have learned today.
