Dorman R&R Totally Integrated Power Module

CAUTION: The original Instrument Cluster (Cab Compartment Node (CCN)) and Powertrain
Control Module (PCM) must be installed and functioning properly prior to powering up the new
Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). The TIPM receives vehicle configuration data from the
CCN and Vehicle Identification Number information from the PCM.
Make certain to disconnect the negative battery cable before the replacement of the TIPM
module.
ATTENTION: Refer to the appropriate shop manual for your vehicle to obtain specific service
procedures for this part. If you do not have a service manual or lack the skill to install this part,
it is recommended that you seek the services of a qualified technician. Pay special attention to
all cautions and warnings included in the shop manual. Read and follow all instructions
carefully.
IMPORTANT: The Dorman TIPM will need to collect and learn the necessary vehicle
configuration and VIN data from the CCN and PCM. Insert the ignition key and turn it to the
"RUN" position and wait twelve seconds. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position and wait
twelve seconds. Turn the ignition key back to the "ON" position and verify proper vehicle
systems operation. Clear all stored diagnosis trouble codes.
Note: Following the installation and learn procedure, it is normal to have several diagnosis
trouble codes (DTC) stored in the TIPM, PCM, CCN, Transmission Control Module (TCM) ,
Antilock Brake Module (ABS) and Wireless Control Module (WCM).
Note: The Dorman TIPM will be reset to all personal settings (customer programmable features)
to the factory presets. Consult the vehicles owners manual for available options.
