OUR REFLECTION

I have learned so much from this Demo-teaching. I have learned how to be

flexible in terms of time management, group plans and schedules, and how to be
creative in finding and using my resources. With this activity, We became more
mature, creative, flexible, and more knowledgeable in terms of group works. We
have also learned many strategies and methods in teaching. In addition, We have
learnt a lot of things about lesson planning and practice teaching. We have learned
that effective Demo-teaching comes from thorough and careful preparation of the
teacher and that there would be no effective teaching without planning and
decision making on the part of the teacher. Thus, decision making is an important
skill a teacher should possess because its the decision of the teacher that would
lead her students whether what concept, skills and values s/he wants his/her
students to achieve in the said instruction.
In terms of working with the team, we have developed my communication
skills. We learned how to be collaborative, interactive and reflective in doing my
task. Though my partner did not do a lot in this facilitation, We have grasped a
broader concept and skills about instruction because We had the chance to search
and study about this topic. Moreover, we had experience vicariously how to make
an effective lesson plan and how to present it. With this experience, We could say
that we are well equipped with the concept, skills, and values needed in making
and presenting actual teaching.
