Similarities of preparation before celebration

Malay- In malay wedding , bunga telur is given to the guest. It is a symbol of
fertility and it is hoped that by giving out the bunga telur the married couple
would be blessed with many children.

Having feast at the grooms house- the groom and brides family will be
invited to the groom house and have a feast.
Adat Nikah (marriage contract) -Groom signs marriage contract and agrees
to pay mas kahwin (marriage gold) in the form of money or goods or anything
as requested by the bride
Adat bertunang- engagement custom is held at brides home.
