Plan of Action for Shadowing Data

Angie Pohl

What will you do?

o Share shadowing data with principal to prompt discussion.
o Share shadowing data with classroom teacher and discuss how to
support the student.
o Share shadowing data with PDPLC+ (problem solving team) as data to
consider when planning for the students behavior intervention plan.
o Shadow an additional student who fits into my project ELL who is on
the cusp of meeting standards in math and reading who has been
identified as a student who will move from yellow to green to meet our
SIP goal of 8%. Share data with ILT

What is your theory of action?

o If I share this data with the classroom teacher, I expect that she will
reflect on her interactions with the student and change her practices to
focus more on positive feedback and less on redirection.
o If I share this data with the PDPLC+ team, I expect that the data will be
used to inform the students behavior intervention plan.
o If I share the additional shadowing experience with the ILT, I expect it
to prompt discussion about what we are or are not doing to serve our
ELL students that weve identified as our focus students to move from
yellow to green in reading and math.

What are your short term and long term steps?

1. Share the data with the principal to let her know what I was working on
and what I observed (Completed 2/24).
2. Share the data with the classroom teacher and discuss (Completed
2/25).
3. Share the data at Ms PDPLC+ meeting (To be completed 3/20).
4. Shadow student #2 (to be completed by 3/26).
5. Present shadowing data for student #2 at ILT meeting on April 6.

How will you measure your progress?

o Complete the steps laid out. When steps are completed, I will know
how I am progressing toward achieving short and long term steps.
o Data is used to inform student intervention plan.
o Data shared with ILT is used to inform ELL plan and my project.
