    Estranged

    (Epitaph of Time)

    Even before you ever learned to crawl,


    We were there and we witnessed it all..
    The melody encompassed hills of trumpets
    Filled the spaces beneath the nothings
    And there were colors like no other

    Even before your very first song,


    We were there and we wrote along...
    Roll down the window, Park Avenue
    With towers of dreams, mice insecure
    And speak to me like never, moving on, furthermore ~
    Even before you ever knew you destroyed it all,
    We were there and we watched you fall.

    Detached from the natural


    Separated and fragile
    You fell beneath gravity
    While survivors coined it a tragedy

    “Senses dulled
    You couldn't hear us
    Apathy all n one
    You couldn't feel us”

    And memories of hypnotic back wall readers


    Who step out of line and fall behind
    Even before you knew the rules
    We were there?
    Already attempting to erase the lines ~
