1. A 19-year-old college freshman was found dead under a bridge near the College-Conservatory of Music at 8:30am on Sunday morning. The cause of death was impact injuries including a fractured skull and broken neck vertebrae.
2. A possible witness, a 22-year-old female, reported seeing a suspicious man running and depositing something in a trash can near the DAAP building around 3am that morning.
3. Evidence collected at the scene included blood spatter and drag marks leading to the body. A pocket knife was also found in a nearby trash can with the victim's blood type on the blade.

LOCATION: Drop-off by College-Conservatory of Music/University Pavilion Bridge; Body hidden in bushes below TIME FOUND: 8:30am Sunday morning CAUSE OF DEATH: Impact (Fractured skull and several fractured vertebrae in neck) NO WITNESSES REPORTED AT SCENE OF CRIME POSSIBLE WITNESS OF SUSPECT: Female, age 22, reported suspicious activity around the DAAP building around 3am Sunday morning. She stated that while she was leaving the building, a suspicious looking man ran by and deposited something in a trash can, saw the witness, and then fled campus. She also stated that she did not get a clear look at him, but said that he was obviously distressed.
