Social Skills Lesson Plan

For our social skill lesson plan we have chosen to focus on teaching our students how to appropriately take turns. The
following paragraphs will discuss the components of our lesson. These components include the objective, definition of the
behavior, positive and negative examples, a role play, homework, and the assessment aspect.
1. Lesson Objective
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to describe how to appropriately take turns and demonstrate this in a role
play situation, including appropriately asking another peer for a turn, waiting and watching while peers takes a turn, appropriately
allowing another peer to take a turn after students own turn is taken. Students will be able to demonstrate the components of this
behavior 100% of the time on 3 consecutive trials.
2. Definition of the Behavior and Guided Discussion
3. Positive Example
4. Negative Example
