Pioneer Pet Salon:

I was an assistant, so I prepped the dogs and cats for grooming by
brushing, bathing, drying, and clipping nails. I also helped to manage
the front desk by booking appointments, making reminder calls,
checking in clients, and taking payments.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Internship, SPCA (January 2012- May 2012)
During second semester of freshman year I had an internship under
Sharon Hauser at SPCA Tampa Bay. Every Wednesday I was able to go
there instead of school for about seven or eight hours which was an
amazing opportunity. I worked in the Education Department where I
helped with school tours, raised awareness about animal cruelty, and
planned summer camps. I also helped care for some of the animals and
shadowed operations.
Tampa Bay Watch (June 2013- August 2013)
The summer before my junior year of high school I volunteered with Tampa
Bay Watch every Monday from nine to twelve, as well as on occasional
Saturdays. During this time I was able to work on projects such as building
oyster bars and domes, cleaning up beaches, planting native flora, and
recycling monofilament.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium (November 2013- December 2014)

I started volunteering in the Education Department at the aquarium, and

then switched to Hospitality. I educated people about the animals that

we have at the aquarium, and gave presentations and tours.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium Stranding Team (February 2015-Present)
While volunteering on the Stranding Team I am able to assist with the
rescue, rehabilitation, and release of the marine animals that we take in.
Family Center on Deafness and Deaf Literacy Center (November
2014- Present)
This year I have started taking American Sign Language, and I have
absolutely fallen in love with the language, the culture, and the people. I
have been volunteering at various Deaf events such as signing with
Santa and the Family Center on Deafness Thanksgiving Dinner. I also
choreographed a dance for the little girls to perform at Dancing with the
Deaf Stars.
