Name Explanation:
Wu, fifth; Chu, place. This is the fifth point of the Bladder Meridian of FootTaiyang.

Location:
On the head, 1 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline and 1.5
cun lateral to the midline.
Location (previously defined):
Localization:
In sitting position with the head resting, first locate Quchai (BL 4). The point is
located 0.5 cun directly superior to Quchai (BL 4).
Indications:
1) Diseases of Head and Sense Organs: Headache, dizziness. 2) Mental
Diseases: Infantile convulsion, epilepsy.

Mechanism of Action:
See also Meichong (BL 3) and Cuanzhu (BL 2).
Method:
Puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 cun.
Acupoint Prescriptions:
1) Febrile diseases (sweating, fever and chill): Wuchu (BL 5), Cuanzhu (BL 2),
Zhengying (GB 17), Shangguan (GB 3), Quepen (ST 12), Zhongfu (LU 1).

heaviness sensation of the head: Wuchu (BL 5), Shenzhu (GV 12), Weizhong

Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-frontal belly of occipitofrontal muscle. In the
superficial layer, there are the supratrochlear nerve and the supratrochlear artery
and vein. In the deep layer, there are the subaponeurotic loose connective tissue
and the pericranium.
