1. Write a few questions on division on the board.
Randomly ask pupils to underline the most
reasonable estimated quotient.
2. Refer to example 1 (TB pg.21). Read the text and
focus on the numbers.
3. Teacher write the number sentence ad discuss
with pupils how to find answer using 4-step
alghorithm.
4. Pupils proceed with division of 6 digit numbers by
2 digit numbers.
5. Emphasise that pupils have to solve questions
using the long division.
6. Pupils do exercise.
