Our unit on the human body is on hold until after Milestone testing. Discovery will resume on
Thursday, May 7th with our trip to GTs robotics lab.
5th grade:
Congratulations to Annie Levy and Yanelyn Matul for their outstanding presentation on how to
solve our water issues on the playground. Their presentation was voted on by their peers and
they will represent 5th grade Discovery by presenting their idea to Mr. Mcbride after testing.
We are now currently learning about engineering! Students have chosen an engineering field of
their choice to use for their 5th grade career projects. What type of engineer did your child
choose to research? We will soon be doing various engineering type activities for students to
get a feel of what it would be like to be an engineer!
There is no Discovery during Milestone testing. Discovery will resume with our trip to Georgia
Tech on May 4th. A few students still need to send in their permission form and money ASAP.
