Origin of materialism.

I believe that is in the most simple experiences that we do the most extraordinary discoveries. Let
me tell you one of them:
I am the first son and grandson in the family of my father and i always received much attention ...
until appear the other children and grandchildren. After that, I dealt with it emotionally as well. Away
from the limelight where they took refuge? In my objects, toys, blankets. What does this have to do
with selfishness and that has to do with materialistic desires? Both are originated at a time when we
lost the affection.
Now imagine a child who has never received an amount of affection, where will he seek a
substitute? In material things.
