- Write and perform a satirical skit that identifies a social problem. Be sure to use the satirical devices that you
have learned in this unit in your skit.
- Additionally, complete a written reflection/analysis that identifies the devices you used in your skit that also
analyzes the effectiveness of your skit. (Reflect upon what you have learned in this unit and how you applied it
to the writing of your skit.)
How much is required of you?
Your reflection/analysis should be half a page.
Your skit should be 2-3 minutes.
Your typed up skit should be 2-3 pages.

Steps
1. Determine groups
2. Determine a current event topic to satirize
3. Begin searching for a current event that provokes a sense of injustice
4. Begin writing a skit that provokes a sense of injustice and that you hope will elicit change
5. Finish writing your skit
6. Begin writing a reflection/analysis that identifies the devices you used and analyzes the effectiveness of
their skit.
6. Type up your skit and finish writing your reflection/analysis
7. Perform your skit to the class
