Dear Families,

Hello, my name is Miss Feagin and I am your childs student teacher in their science
classroom. I will be working in the class through the end of April. Currently I am studying
Middle Level Education with concentrations in Mathematics and Science at Claflin University,
and will be earning my bachelors degree in May.
As a student teacher, I will be working closely with your childs teacher to plan and
prepare lessons to teach to the class. I will also be assisting her during class. Prior to working
in your childs teachers classroom, I have done field experience hours in other schools both
assisting and teaching lessons. I am thrilled that I will be finishing my undergraduate
experience at this school and in this classroom!
My background includes working for reading and writing enrichment camps in my
hometown of Kansas City. Here in Orangeburg, I have participated in various volunteer
activities and remained active on Claflin Universitys campus. In my spare time I enjoy
cooking, reading, and watching movies.
Teaching and working with children gives me so much joy and fulfillment, I am so
pleased to finally be able to work in a classroom full-time! During my time in your childs
class, I hope to excite your child about the world of learning and broaden their academic
interest. In addition, I am looking forward to getting to know your child and to be working
with them throughout the rest of the spring semester!
