As a new student at the faculty, at the beginning of the course I found it difficult to
understand most of the subjects we would talk about since most of the class already
had previous knowledge to some subjects and are from an earlier generation. It did
affect me at first but within time I quickly managed to pick up the pace. At first the
subjects were something new to me but with your explanations and class activities
combined with our classworks and researches, I finally got a clearer understanding of
the classes as the lessons went by. I learned many things during this course such as
what behaviorism and social constructivism theories are, a short initial of what
communicative language teaching approach is, P.P.P structure and most important I
learned new concepts on teaching lessons in real life situations and how to apply what
we learned in class into our future lessons.
Even though I already speak English, I can say I have improved my
communicative skills since the beginning of the course. Thanks to the activates we
worked on this course Ive have had the chance to obtain experience in communication
at an academic level. I enjoyed working with the teacher and classmates during this
course because we learned so much from each other. The advices and feedback the
teacher gave us really helped a lot because we are able to correct our mistakes, so we
wont repeat them in our future classes and projects. The projects we performed in the
short time we had this course made me obtain better communicative skills and with the
presentations we presented I obtained more confidence to speak in public. This really
helped me a lot because as future teachers and professionals we need to loss the fear
of speaking in public. All these things combined, the projects, presentations, lessons
and group work, really helped me develop not only my communicative skills but also
helped me improve the rest of the skills to obtain a foreign language.
