Target audience

The primary target is mostly identified through demographic

variables such as age, gender and level of education. It
should be a coherent group who finds appealing the key
promotional elements of the film. The ideal age bracket is
10-15 years for adults, 2-4 years for kids. When there is a
choice between male and female, it is often recommended
to go more towards women as they are a little easier and
cheaper to reach.
Our target audience is teenager and adults as our movies
will be a 16 rated will which means that the content of the
movie will be suitable for only people over 16. in addition,
we made the narrative of the movie to appeal to more older
people because they enjoy complex non linear narratives
and thriller plot twisting climaxes. The reason we also
included teens to our target audience is that because they
enjoy watching brutal killings scenes and bloody violence's,
which are included in our movie,.

The secondary target audiences can be of two types. On one

hand, it can be a larger group than the primary target. To stay
within the previous example, this could include females 2550. The second type is made of niche targets, or groups that
have a specific interest in one of the aspects of the film.
These groups arent necessarily defined in demographic
terms. Typical examples are: fans of the directors or casts
previous work, students, gay & lesbian, horror fans, history
lovers, Spanish speakers or people living in a certain area.

This bar chart shows that under 18 and 18-24 aged people
watch films more than other categories of people and in these
categories 23 percentage of people enjoy thriller genre. This
is also a reason why we aimed at teens and adults. By
targeting these age groups, we are reassuring the box-office
success of our film.
