All Mini Pipe Gap-Clamps are designed to position and hold Open Butt pipe spools to one another while those pieces are
tack welder. All are designed for use by a welder working alone. After tacking, the
clamps Are loosened and removed by turning the handle to the right 900 and removing from between the pipe spools, the
final weld can be achieved.
These Mini Gap-Clamps have been redesigned for ease in aligning and gapping at the same time .
The Mini Gap-Clamps come four to a set , which includes a handy belt pouch for ease in carrying the set to the work place,
scaffolding , etc.
The four clamps are positioned at equal intervals around the circumference of the pipe, the number required varies with the
pipe diameter.
Specification are shown below for each of the 3 types of clamps . Height is measured over the handle while thickness is that
of the thickness component, front to rear , regardless of location.
The design is field-proven , clamps are sturdy and with a minimum of maintenance , can be used over and over for years .
The clamps are made of stainless steel and brass.

TO USE PIPE CLAMPS
1. Select clamp size- Type 1 is designed for larger pipe up to 8 in (200 mm) diameter. And Type 2 for pipe up to 4
in(102mm) diameter.
2. Position pipes or pipe and elbow sections to be welded; slip head through gap between sections.
3. Pull upward with clamp handle. Keep handle parallel to outer pipe surface to insure proper alignment.
4. Tighten clamp with torque lever.
CAUTION: DO NOT TIGHTEN WITH HANDLE NEVER EXCEED HAND TIGHT. TO REMOVE CLAMPS
ALWAYS TURN KNURLED HANDLE TO THE RIGHT.
5. Install additional clamps as needed. Normally , the 4 clamps in a set are placed at 900 intervals but fewer may be
used for smaller pipe and more may be used for larger pipe .
6. Tack weld to secure pipe section , turn knurled handle to the right to loosen and remove clamps.
