The Test

The Test is about Maynard High School in Fresno

California, one of the poorest towns in
California, having to take an end of the school
year test. This isnt an ordinary test; this test
decides the fate of the school. If there isnt a
certain percentage of students who pass in
each grade level, the school has to close down.
For the last ten years, the school academic
success has fallen below average and is still
dropping. State officials have no hope for this
school. Students will have to find different
schools to go to, seniors who dont pass wont
graduate on time, and teachers and facility will
have to find new jobs. As this school prepares
for the test, the school goes through a number
of trials and tribulations to prepare. Some
students lose faith. Some teachers lose faith.
Teachers and administrators do everything in
the power to turn around the fate of the school.
