ELITE Conference

INSPIRING MINDS TO GROW

This conference is for high students in

11th and 12th grades and who are interested in teaching agriculture, and
career and technical education areas, as part of our states strategy for
teacher recruitment.

The ELITE Conference is packed with

activities and is designed to get students
excited and familiar with the teaching
profession!
During the ELITE Conference students

Students interact with a panel of current teachers, learning more about career and technical education and their will learn from current CTE teachers, talk
experiences in the classroom (TOP) Students interact
with university representatives, and even
with collegiate staff, learning about their institutions.

activities can be brought back to, and incorporated at the local level! These students will also learn to network with one
another professionally.

What is CTE and why is it important?

Career and Technical Education CTE includes, Business &
Marketing, Family & Consumer Sciences, Health Sciences,
Technology & Engineering, and Agriculture. There will be over
100 high school students in attendance at this conference. The
high school education programs are the pathways for students
to explore numerous careers in high demand.

Teacher Panels & Guest Speakers

This event wouldnt be complete without true professionals in
the field. Each area will provide a panel of current educators to
interact with the students about their experiences and encourage them to pursue their degrees. Mrs. Katie Pratt will serve as
the opening guest speaker to all students, motivating them to
become advocates of their passions!
