How does your media product

represent particular social groups?

As the opening sequence is based around different pranks and
the aspects of the pranks turning into a horrible reality. We
want the cast to mirror both characteristics which the sequence
features, a serious emotional incident and a social side, as their
friends. Our notion which we came up with was linked with the
characters and cast, by finding suitable people who were of a
certain age to play the roles.
All our characters are around the ages of 13+, as pranks are
class as immature and silly which are normally done by people
in their early teens for fun.
However with our twist that we made on the prank and it
turning out to have undesirable consequences. Our characters
social group was based on people in their late teens 15-17year
olds.
Through diegetic sound dialog we were able to make the
characters stereotypical to their age by them using slag terms
like word bruv.
Mise-en -scene and cinematography used we were able to see
their location as they take a short cut through the forest.
This relates back to the stereotype of teenagers being
inconsiderate of their selfs and others when the characters
walk through an isolated area.
Costume was casual and common to what teens of today wear
as they are just a group of friends going home and there was
not need to be dressed in a particular way.
Costume included things such as t- shirts, jeans, beanies and
hoodies. This relates to the stereotypical group of teenage
friends who are out having a social event.

Main Character: Sarah (played by

Scevcan Kelebeck)
The main character Sarah we wanted to portray how a resilient
girl could be broken down by an unexpected situation.
Sarah was the character who was the more alert around the
surroundings which subverts the stereotype of teens being
careless but then conform when she is Seperated from the
group and stops to tie her shoe lases unaware of who and what
was around her she ends up being attacked by an unknown
person.
Costume The colours were very neutral for her being a girl as
she wore camouflage pants, a black hooded jacket and a
beanie.
Makeup Was minimal she had on mascara which brings her
back in touch with her feminine side of her character. She is
represent as a tomboy.
