Proper approach and house keeping

Ensure no PTW is pending on the equipment
Ensure no person is working on the
equipment
Ensure Equipment is not charged
Availability of Main power supply and control
supply
Check no damage to the terminal box and
insulated terminal block
Measure the individual phase winding
resistance.
Measure the individual phase-earth insulation
resistance (with 5000V/ insulation tester). All
the three reading shall be > 8.0 Mohms. If the
IR value is low switch on the space heater
Check the space heater is in ON/OFF condition
Ensure all logics and protections are in service
Remove permit and DO NOT OPERATE
board from the feeder.
Put LOCAL/OFF/REMOTE selector switch in
LOCAL or REMOTE position. As per
operation requirement
Isolate Earth switch with the help of Earth
switch Handle. Keep it in O position
Rack in the breaker/ Feeder
Switch ON control power MCB
Ensure OFF indication on feeder is glowing
Give Clearance for Switch ON the feeder
from DCS/LCS and verify the Voltage.
Check the current in various phases and record
Check the heating/temperature of the
