WHAT MAKES THEM BRITISH FILMS?

Heyday Films was founded in London by a British producer. Their biggest film is
the film series Harry Potter which is a famously well known British franchise.
What doesn't make them British is where they got their money from.

The film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was produced by Heyday but
also 1492 Pictures which is an American film production company. And was
distributed by Warner Bros. - American distribution company. the film is seen to
be British with British actors, being based of a British novel however the film
production was associated with American companies. The

The Boy in The Stripped Pyjamas is a British historical-drama film; this may be
perceived as a British film made by HeyDay Films with British actors. However it
was distributed by an American company (Walt Disney). And another production
company was Miramax who is American. The production company was shared
across the production companies resulting in The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas not
being entirely made by British producers.
