    youhaveeatenfromthetreeofwhichIcommandedyounotto
    eat!12Themansaid,Thewomanwhomyougavetobewith
    me,shegavemefruitfromthetree,andIate.13Thenthe
    LORDGodsaidtothewoman,Whatisthisthatyouhave
    done?Thewomansaid,Theserpenttrickedme,andIate.14
    TheLORDGodsaidtotheserpent,
    Becauseyouhavedonethis,
    cursedareyouamongallanimals

    andamongallwildcreatures;
    uponyourbellyyoushallgo,
    anddustyoushalleat
    allthedaysofyourlife.
    15Iwillputenmitybetweenyouandthewoman,
    andbetweenyouroffspringandhers;
    hewillstrikeyourhead,
    andyouwillstrikehisheel.
    16Tothewomanhesaid,
    Iwillgreatlyincreaseyourpangsinchildbearing;
    inpainyoushallbringforthchildren,
    yetyourdesireshallbeforyourhusband,
    andheshallruleoveryou.
    17Andtothemanhesaid,
    Becauseyouhavelistenedtothevoiceofyourwife,
    andhaveeatenofthetree
    aboutwhichIcommandedyou,
    Youshallnoteatofit,
    cursedisthegroundbecauseofyou;
    intoilyoushalleatofitallthedaysofyourlife;
    18thornsandthistlesisshallbringforthforyou;
    andyoushalleattheplantsofthefield.
    19Bythesweatofyourface
    youshalleetbread
    untilyoureturntotheground,
    foroutofityouweretaken;
    youaredust,
    andtodustyoushallreturn.
