All players will be auctioned this year. The Salary Cap will be $200. All players will go to the
highest bidder. In the week following the draft, all people must e-mail me the list of players that
they would like to sign to multi-year deals, up to 5 years. They will be counted for the same
salary for all of the years left in their contract. If a player with a contract is dropped, there will be
a cap hit of 50% of the players salary for the remaining years on the contract. (Ex: if you had
Toby Gerhart for 4 years at 8 dollar, and you drop him, you take a $4 cap hit for every year left
on his contract, if you had him for one year, there is no hit.) If a player with a contract is traded,
the full salary will be transferred to the team receiving the player under contract.
Excluding the first year, every year there will be a 1 round rookie draft before the free agent
period. The draft order will be determined by the reverse standings of the previous season. (Last
place gets first pick etc.) Teams sign rookies at following prices:
Picks 1-2 = $5
Picks 3-4 = $4
Picks 5-6 = $3
Picks 6-7 = $2
Picks 8-10 = $1
Teams can sign rookies for up to 3 years or choose to not sign at all.
(First year nomination order will be chosen randomly.)
The commissioner, me, will keep track of all contracts, salary caps and hits. Players MUST
contact me before dropping a player on contract. I will post all salary cap and contract
information on a google doc so everyone can see them.
