Calendar of Events

Free agent draft: October… Supplemental draft: late February… Cut roster to 35 (25 active,
10 inactive), set lineups & instructions: March… Regular season: April thru August…Playoffs
& championships: September

Managers

Play all games fairly… Keep complete scoring of every game and save until after
championships… Report all statistics promptly according to the schedule, including boxscores
to opponents… Follow written rules and general policies… Will use S-O-M’s Super Advanced
rules.

Roster limits

Rosters must be reduced to 35 at seasons start… Active roster for the first 5 blocks is 25…
Active roster for the 6th block is 35

Trades

All trades are permanent, no loaning of players… Draft picks may be traded but only from
seasons end until the draft and only for that draft (never for any following year’s draft)…
Trades do not affect BBL rosters until after the draft (players you trade before the draft must
be protected)… Must be reported by both members involved to the commissioner within 10
days of each other… Are subject to review by the commissioner.

Draft

Each team protects 28 of its owned players from the draft with the remaining 7 being exposed
to all teams in the draft… Teams will draft in order of worst win percentage to best (playoff
teams order determined by finish/wins)… Ties are decided by lottery number (teams will
alternate)…There will be 5 rounds, conducted by Stratdraft… The only players available are
those that were left unprotected or are unowned and have either played 20 games in the field
or 8 as a pitcher… Unprotected players not drafted return to their previous owner.
Supplemental draft

There will also be a supplemental draft in late February. Teams will need to submit a soft copy
of their 35 man roster. The only difference will be if a team would like to participate in the
supplemental draft, they will need to submit either a 32, 33, 34 or 35 man list. If a team
submits a 32 man list it will receive 3 picks. If a team submits a 33 man list it will receive 2
picks. If a team submits a 34 man list it will receive 1 pick. If a team submits a 35 man list it
will not receive any picks. The draft order will be the same order as the annual rookie draft.
These picks may not be traded. Rookie players not drafted in rookie draft will be also eligible
for this draft as long as they have 130 real life AB or 50 real life IP.

Player usage limits

Beginning in 2015, usage will be 115% AB/IP For position players and any pitcher who
pitches in relief...Anyone who starts only as a SP will limited to the actual number of Games
Started... There are no injuries… Pitchers may not start more than 1 game per series and may
not start and relieve in the same series… If a reliever pitches 3 or more innings in any game
other than the last of a series he may not pitch in the next game of that series

Any pitcher (S/R) who has given up 8 runs in a single game MUST BE REMOVED at the end
of the inning in which they gave up the 8th run. Starting pitchers may go a maximum of 5
innings if they have given up 8 or more runs prior to the 5th inning. They must pitch a
minimum of 4 innings unless POW/R have been met. Must be removed at POW.

P usage

P used in example is Ty Blach 43 games 13 starts 110 IP

If he only starts, its number of starts (13)---no
adjustment

If he only relieves, its 115% IP---127 IP (110*1.15)

If he starts and relieves, its 115% IP---127 IP

(110*1.15) and maximum of 13 starts

PLAYOFF P USAGE
Starting in 2019 we will use this formula to determine how many starts each pitcher can make in
each series

We will use 10% of BBL allowable starts (rounded up), rest carries over each series beginning with
end of season

25+ starts= 3 as long as they have proper rest, *'D needs 3 days others need 4
15-24 starts= 2 as long as they have proper rest, *'D needs 3 days others need 4
1-14 starts= 1 as long as they have proper rest, *'D needs 3 days others need 4

RP will still be allowed 10% of BBL allowed IP

Playing instructions

Instructions, pitching rotations, and lineups for your opponents to use for your team’s road
games for the season will be created each block…You may make changes to them at any time
between blocks as long as they follow BBL rules… Both AL & NL will use the DH…
Outfielders may be used in OF positions they are not rated, home or away using S-O-M rule
for adjustment…Only pitchers with “Starter” on their card may start. Starters may relieve
using S-O-M’s ruling (POW=1). Any Starting Pitcher must be removed after allowing 8 runs
immediately after completion of the inning in which 8th run is scored. The starting pitcher if
allowing 8 runs before the completion of 5 innings, may continue until the 5th inning is
complete
League playoffs

League playoffs will be best of five, comprised of the 3 divisional winners and wildcard game
winner, and the LCS and World Series will be best of seven, with a minimum of 3 starting
pitchers required… The wildcard team plays the 1st division. The 1st 2 divisions listed are the
home teams in the 1st round, with the 1st team listed as home team in LCS. The series' will
need to b played via Netplay… Participating managers may submit new lineups and
instructions for each playoff series… 25 man roster will be used and is not able to be
changed… The players will be limited to 10% of their BBL allowable AB/IP, per series… A
continuing rotation will be used throughout the playoffs with off days at: day after season’s
end, between games 2 & 3 of playoffs, 1 day after playoffs, between games 2 & 3 and 5 & 6
of the LCS & WS… Starters must have 4 days rest unless *’d. If a player is overused in
regular season, they will not be permitted to be used in postseason.

Penalties

Penalties will be assessed by lowering draft picks… Penalties will be assessed for violations
of the written rules and other policies including being late with stats, rosters, and player over
usage… Penalties for rule violations and lateness are: 1st infraction= warning, 2nd= lowering
4th pick 5 spots, 3rd= lowering 3rd pick 5 spots, 4th= 2nd pick 10 spots 5th= expulsion from the
