Igor Irodov

Igor Yevgenyevich Irodov (Russian: ; 16 November 1923 in Murom - 22 October 2002)[1] was a Russian physicist known for his
highly respected book Problems in General Physics. His
books are the prescribed practice material for national
and International Physics Olympiads in several countries.
He also authored Basic laws of electromagnetism and
Fundamental laws of mechanics.

21, 1960. On March 29, 1976 I.E. Irodov worked at the
Department of General Physics as a professor. November 25, 1977 he was conrmed in the academic rank of
professor in the department of general physics.

Igor Irodov was born in Murom, Vladimir Oblast,


RSFSR. In 1931 his family moved to Moscow. Igor
Irodov served in the Soviet Army during the World War
II between 16 October 1941 and 23 November 1945. In
1946 he was admitted to Moscow Engineering Physics
Institute. Igor Irodov received his Kandidat of Physical
and Mathematical Sciences degree from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute in 1954. His advisor was Lev
Artsimovich. Igor Irodov was a faculty member of the

Irodov spent 27 years of his life. His book, general problems in physics is highly regarded as one of the most difcult problem books in physics and demands thorough
conceptual knowledge of physics and high aptitude. It is

November 23, 1945 I.E. Irodov was demobilized from


the ranks of the Red Army for health reasons and returned
to Moscow.In February 1946, I.E. Irodov entered the
Moscow Engineering Physics Institute at the Faculty of
Physics. In November 1950 I.E. Irodov graduated from
MMI as an engineer-physicist in the design and operation of physical devices and systems. From March 1951
to March 1954 I.E. Irodov was a graduate student MMI
