CRACKDOWN ON NOISE.

In a continuing effort to enhance quality

of life in our neighborhoods, the TPD
have once again that they will issue
tickets when it is necessary to restrict the
excessively loud music from car stereos
and loud muffler pipes on motorcycles
riding through neighborhoods. Cars in
violation are towed because the stereo
systems are considered evidence in
the offense according to Sgt. Terry
Buchanan in a recent Record news item.

PAVE THE WAY!

We were surprised recently to se a City paving crew laying down fresh asphalt in the
MarketPlace. It seems that Little Italy will benefit from blacktop left over at the end of
the work day from other South Troy DPW street paving projects. We may be able to
get the whole area repaved by the end of the summer, heres hoping!

Parishioners of St. Marys Church in

Troy have compiled a Historic Saint
Marys Parish calendar, dedicated to
the memory of Father Harry Donaghy.
Father Harry, who first served the
Troy community at the Catholic Youth
Organization on Fourth Street, was pastor
at St. Marys from 1981 until his death
in 2003. The 36 page calendar contains

papers are writing about it and everybodys

happy that he did.
Coke met him and went out to a
restaurant with him and some of the
German frauleins who are always
around him. Im glad hes having a good
time, but its pretty dull around the
ranch on Liberty Street without him
playing practical jokes on Uncle Luigi.
Well, it was dull, until today. The new
priest from St. Anthonys came to our
backyard for dinner and the fireworks
that the cousins brought back from
Pennsylvania when they went down to
visit our relatives there. Nobody got
hurt, thank God, and they were pretty
spectacular. I especially liked the Roman

goes off, and I wake up.
Actually, I wake up with such a good,
warm feeling that I dont want to get out
of bed, but I have to get ready for work
and with only one bathroom and all these
brothers,if I dont get in there ahead of
them, Ill never be on time. And I think
the time clock at Tiny Town Togs is
fast, anyway. At least in the morning.
At quitting time, Im sure they change
something and make it slow down.
Anyway, theres just one more thing I
wanted to tell you about today. Of course,
everybodys kitchens were going all day,
so that we could have a bigger than usual
backyard dinner. My uncles, brothers,
cousins and Father J.B. had set up the sawhorses and tabletops while the women
were cooking, then they started choosing
sides for another bocce game. I brought
out the tablecloths and dishes, and Father
was the only one who noticed and came
over and helped me. When he took some
of the stuff from me, I noticed his hands.
They were big and strong, of course, but
they were soft, too. Oh, I didnt say that
our hands touched. But when they did,
everything seemed to stop for a minute. I
looked up from what I was going to do
set the table and he was smiling at me,
with his eyes. Theyre hazel, like mine,
and I felt like they were looking very
deep into me. He sat next to me at dinner.
He smelled like incense and sweat. And
then, when it got dark and the fireworks
started...
Im really sleepy Ill finish this
tomorrow, after work. Sweet dreams,
diary. I think thats what Im going to
have.
