Acknowledgements
I would like to thank Peter Munn the CEO of Harvest Electronics for giving me the
opportunity to work at Harvest over the summer, Andrew Munn who I had the
pleasure to work under during my time with Harvest, Hannah and Adam Hooker
who provided me with board during my stay in Masterton and all of Harvest
Electronics for being so friendly and willingly helping me out when I needed it.

Introduction
Harvest Electronics produces telemetry monitoring and control devices for a
number of different market segments with a strong focus on orchids and in more
recent years farming. The company is a relatively small company of
approximately 20 staff but is continuously expanding.

Description of Company

Description of Work
General
Harvest Electronics has gone through many different projects and equipment
over the years, resulting in a shed full of components and equipment that are no
longer needed for the operation and development of the company. Myself along
with another college were tasked with going through all this old stock to
determine its usefulness and clear space in storage. The equipment we were
tasked with cleaning out ranged from old telephone bells to various through hole
componentry to some no longer used UPSs. If an item was deemed no longer
useful in any way to the company it would be dumped. While completing this
task I went through a large amount of old trough whole component. This was
interesting as it gave me insights into what some of the components were that
used to be used in the industry and what they looked like.
