needs to survive.
- Understand the basics of living things for example; plant care and
growth.
- Describe the different parts of a plant and plant growth (roots, stem,
leaf, soil, sun, water).

Warm up
Youtube the green grass grows all around nursery rhyme and have
students sing along.
Knowledge accessing
- Draw a plant on the board.
- Elicit students to name different parts of a plant and plant growth.
- Work together with students and discuss different elements of plants and
what they require to grow.

Interaction
- For this unit students will have the opportunity to grow a small plant from
a seed and they will document its growth process.
- Students will learn to care for the plants in the classroom setting.
- Students will document the plants growth cycle on a weekly basis;
drawing pictures of how their plant grows, measuring the growth of
their plant, and recording through written observation what they
see.

Encourage students to reflect on the environmental conditions they
