In each lesson I create objectives that are based on the 3 domains of learning; the
psychomotor, affective, and cognitive. In each domain I create my objectives on
previous lessons and also on the developmental stage of the student with what they
should know, and also what I think they are ready to learn in the progression. In this
lesson, it was the first of basketball, so I prepared a dribbling lesson. First the
students got to have a chance to get comfortable with just handling the ball without
dribbling. The psychomotor domain I could assess when teaching and give feedback
to help the students improve with the cross-over dribble. I can measure the
outcomes because the students only will do at most 10 cross-overs the full time
during the drill and I can see when a student messes this up.
