Focus of Lesson: Throwing
Student Performance Objectives (SPO): By the end of the lesson, students should
be able to:

(P): Demonstrate correct throwing cues using cue sheets throughout the lesson.

Activity 1: Partner throwing

-Pairs will line up on either side of the


cone to throw overhand to their partner

-move back if ball is caught, move

Activity 2: Monkey in Middle


-groups of 3 now
-one in middle and 2 on hot spots across
from each other
-if person in middle catches the ball,
they are now thrower for person who
threw the ball
-students should try to do fake throws
and different throws to get it past
person in middle

Activity 3: base runner (pickle)
-starts after the thrower throws AT
LEAST 2x
-groups get into groups of 3
-2 of students are throwers, and one is
the base runner
-students throw ball back and forth
following throwing cues to try to catch
the runner
-students cant run after runner to tag
them, can only throw and try to tag
them
-when tagged, runner switches with the
student who tagged them
-make sure each person runs 1x before
they get second time to run

-bases farther apart
