Symbols developed as part of a team of designers coordinated by Danne & Blackburn, and Meeker (later Meeker & Associates) for the Army
Corps of Engineers. With additional support from the National Park Service, National Endowment for the Arts, and Alberta Parks, the original
system was expanded to include this full set of symbols.
