WW ll Assignment 1
Germany's Blitzkreig strategy worked through quick, repetitive attacks
on enemy lines. Using a concentration of armoured and motorized infantry
backed by air support, this allowed an easy break in an enemy defensive line.
This lighting warfare made it difficult to respond to effectively because of
the constant and everchanging attacks. The Blitzkreig strategy was
considered an unstoppable force in the year of 1939 because of the
outstanding success it had in that year. The September campaign proved to be
an example of its success, with the invasion of Poland. The Blitzkreig
strategy used by the Nazi military quickly and effectively broke the Polish
line of defence, and brought success without any lengthy resistance.
